Amy Trần
Head of A&R and Creative
Amy Trần is the Head of Strategy and Creative at monoX Record Label. With 5 years of experience in the entertainment industry, she has managed and developed notable talents such as Wren Evans, Mỹ Anh, 52Hz, and Pialinh. Additionally, she has strategized and built the image for projects like "Lối Chơi Album" (Wren Evans), "Tình EP" (RIO), and "Ở Nhà Một Mình" (52Hz), and has participated in major events like GENfest.
Amy hopes that this year's program will bring fresh perspectives from both the guests and the audience, and sees it as a great opportunity to connect, share, and learn with the Vietnamese music community.
Andy Griffin
SE Asia Music Industry Consultant
Andy Griffin is a seasoned expert with over 30 years of experience in the music industry, starting his career in 1992 and working in Asia since 2006. He co-managed artist Pyra at Warner Music Thailand (2019-2020) and was a key member of the team for alternative rock band Placebo (2008-2019).
Andy’s expertise includes artist management, touring, A&R development, and collaboration with record labels and studios. He is highly regarded for his confident communication style, strong work ethic, and ability to foster team collaboration. At VMW 2024, Andy aims to discuss Vietnam's potential as a new music hub in Asia, while also sharing his working philosophy: "Have a good time all of the time."
Bảo Trần
Programming Lead at VMW 2024
Bảo Trần is a music enthusiast who graduated with a degree in Arts, Entertainment, and Music Management in the United States. Returning to Vietnam in 2023, Bảo gradually entered the music industry through roles at companies and organizations such as MMusic and Tụp Tắc Records. Beginning as an Industry Relations Intern at VMIN in 2022, Bảo later took on the roles of Content Marketing Lead and Programming Lead for Vietnam Music Week 2023 and 2024.
Bảo is eager to learn from the valuable experiences shared by industry experts, while also offering personal insights gained from studying abroad to bridge the gap between the Vietnamese and international music markets. Bảo hopes this year’s theme will inspire and provide clearer direction for young people eager to enter the creative industry. Motto: "Fake it until you become it."
Ben Dennis
Strategy & Partnerships Manager
Ben Dennis is the Strategy and Partnerships Manager at Mushroom Group, the largest independent entertainment company in Australia. With over 15 years of experience in the music industry, Ben has managed strategic relationships and provided consulting services for major brands such as Sony Music Australia, Australian Open, and Nando’s. Prior to this, Ben was the owner of Myriad Management, known for managing the ARIA Award-winning duo Peking Duk and house music producer Benson.
Ben played a key role in driving Peking Duk's national tours, breaking ticket sales records, and orchestrating major music campaigns with international brands. Outside of his industry work, Ben stays connected to the music community by DJing at large events like Splendour in the Grass and Meredith. He hopes to foster the growth of Vietnamese musical talent and promote international collaborations in the future.
Brian Phong Trương
Head of Artist Relation
Brian Phong Trương is currently the Head of Artist Relations at Believe Vietnam. With over 6 years of experience in the media and entertainment industry, he has worked at several major companies in music distribution, DSP, social entertainment, and artist management. Brian believes that continuous learning and development are key to achieving sustainable success in the music industry. He emphasizes the importance of understanding how music ecosystems operate, especially in the rapidly developing Vietnamese music market. With this perspective, VMW serves as an ideal platform for music enthusiasts to meet, share, and drive the collective growth of the industry.
Charles Chu
Founder & CEO of Revival Agency / International Booking & Business Developper of Dionysiac Tour
Charles Chu, 44 years old, is of Vietnamese-French descent and has over 18 years of experience in the cultural and music industries. He served as the Deputy Cultural Attaché at the French Embassy in Seoul (2006-2008) and managed the French Cultural Center in Seoul (2008-2012). During this time, he also founded Brokenteeth, an agency specializing in music booking and production, working closely with top underground clubs across Asia. Currently, Charles runs Revival Agency, which handles tour bookings and organizes concerts in France and Asia. He is also involved in international bookings for the PLAYTIME FESTIVAL in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, and launched Seoul Bam! Concerts, a project aimed at promoting Korean indie artists in France and Europe. Additionally, Charles collaborates with Dionysiac Tour and Lutecia Publishing to develop new opportunities in the international market.
Cyrus Chen
Head of TuneCore, SouthEast Asia
Cyrus Chen, Executive Director of TuneCore Southeast Asia, is responsible for leading TuneCore's operations in the region, overseeing local artist service initiatives, and executing creative marketing strategies to drive growth and enhance brand awareness. Since joining TuneCore in 2021, Chen has helped quadruple the user base in the region, developed programs and partnerships to support local artists' careers, including launching local payment options in Southeast Asia and organizing the first INDIEAF event in Indonesia. With a vision for innovation and growth, Chen aims to contribute to shaping the future of the music industry in the region at Vietnam Music Week and building a strong collaborative ecosystem connecting artists, managers, and industry professionals. His motto is, "The grass is not greener on the other side. It's greener where it's watered."
Đàm Vũ Kiều My
Business Development Manager at DatVietVAC Group Holdings
Đàm Vũ Kiều My is a Business Development Manager with over 8 years of experience in digital strategy planning and marketing. She has made her mark with successful communication strategies for entertainment projects, including the popular television show Running Man Vietnam, as well as in the fashion, cosmetics, and FMCG sectors. Kiều My specializes in digital marketing, brand building, growth hacking, and project financial management, helping her achieve key business and marketing goals. She is currently working at DatVietVAC Group Holdings, continuing to leverage her creative thinking and exceptional business capabilities.
Hoàng Tuấn
Partner Success Manager
Hoàng Tuấn has over 6 years of experience in the media and entertainment industry, having worked at platforms such as Yeah1 News, Báo Thanh Niên, and VieZ.vn. At VieZ.vn, he was one of the first to build a team and develop a TikTok channel that gained over 1 million followers, while also driving over 10 million social media visits to the website. Hoàng Tuấn has managed media relations for prominent artists such as Chi Pu, Trang Pháp, Quỳnh Anh Shyn, and Orange. He is currently managing commercial activities and content development at Double U, working with partners like Diva Hồng Nhung and S.T Sơn Thạch. As a passionate supporter of VMW, he hopes to contribute to the growth of the Vietnamese music market and inspire the younger generation in the industry.
Hữu Phúc
Managing Director
Hữu Phúc, co-founder of AIS LABEL, is currently managing artists tlinh and Machiot. With over 5 years of experience in the music industry, he co-founded AIS LABEL in 2023, marking a significant milestone in his career. Phúc is always focused on networking, learning, and sharing experiences to promote the development of artists and the Vietnamese music industry.
John Rostron
Chief Executive
John Rostron is currently the CEO of the Association of Independent Festivals (AIF) in the UK, an organization representing independent music festivals. AIF currently supports 145 leading independent music festivals across the UK, ranging from 500 to 80,000 attendees. John is also a member of several advisory boards, including the Vision:2025 Advisory Council, aimed at supporting more sustainable outdoor events. In 2023, he was appointed to the Creative Wales Board, where he advises on the music industry in Wales. His motto is: "You are what you repeat."
Julie VAN
EMP (Editorial & Marketing Partnerships Manager, Vietnam)
Julie currently serves as the Editorial & Marketing Partnerships Manager at Believe Vietnam, with over 6 years of experience in the music industry, working with both label companies and independent artists. Her work focuses on researching features of streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, advising on marketing strategies, and negotiating partnerships to enhance the visibility of music products. Julie is also particularly interested in supporting artists and labels in their growth, helping them attract audiences in the digital world, and contributing to the development of the music industry both locally and internationally.
Mai Thanh Sơn
Vice Principal
With 26 years of experience in performing and teaching traditional Vietnamese music, Mai Thanh Sơn is an educator, speaker, and soloist in Vietnamese folk instruments. He has represented Vietnam at both domestic and international art festivals and participated in diplomatic arts programs to showcase Vietnam’s traditional culture. At the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, MTS taught traditional music for 18 years and was in charge of International Cooperation for 6 years. Additionally, he has been involved in many activities at cultural organizations and entertainment businesses. MTS aims to contribute his experiences and perspectives to the development of the cultural industry in Ho Chi Minh City, especially in training human resources for the music industry. His motto is: "The moment you reach the destination of your journey and see all the beautiful things before your eyes, you will realize that all your efforts were well worth it."
Ms. Hương Đoàn
Music Strategy and Business Consultant
With over 12 years of experience in music management and business, Ms. Hương Đoàn has played a crucial role in the development of entertainment companies, record labels, and copyright management organizations. She pioneered the business model of transitioning from a fee-based structure to revenue-sharing for music rights. Her success in leading Sony Music to become the top international recording label in Vietnam from 2018 to 2022, along with the prominence of artists like See Tình, Hoàng Thùy Linh, and Anh Tài Hà Lê, has helped bring Vietnamese music to the world stage.
Ms. Hương has always been an integral part of VMIN from its inception, witnessing the strong growth of this music community with each season. For VMIN 2024, she hopes the program will continue to provide opportunities for learning, sharing, and supporting the music community, while equipping young people with the knowledge and strategies to grow in the music industry.
Nguyễn Hữu Anh
Founder & CEO
Nguyễn Hữu Anh, founder and CEO of Double U and The First Management, has over 15 years of experience in media and entertainment. He has helped many famous artists such as Chi Pu, JayKii, Trang Pháp, Hoàng Oanh, and Coldzy achieve success both domestically and internationally. He developed Chi Pu into one of Vietnam's top stars with over 21 million followers and propelled JayKii to millions of streams on digital music platforms.
Through Double U, he has launched notable music marketing campaigns like "Đi về nhà" and "Mang tiền về cho mẹ," while collaborating with major brands such as GRAB, CIMB, and Vinfast. In 2024, he founded The First Management, representing Chi Pu, Trang Pháp, and JayKii, achieving significant success, including Trang Pháp's victory at "Chị đẹp đạp gió rẽ sóng 2023." He is also active in community engagements and serves as a media sponsor for several large events.
TS. Nguyễn Văn Thăng Long
Associate Program Manager, Professional Communication
Dr. Long Nguyễn is an Associate Professor at the School of Communication and Design, RMIT University Vietnam, where he is responsible for Work-Integrated Learning courses and Public Relations management. With over 15 years of experience in marketing, he has held senior management positions at international organizations such as The Ascott Limited (CapitaLand, Singapore) and Saigontourist. He is also a strategic communications and sustainability advisor for businesses both locally and internationally.
In academia, Dr. Long has published numerous studies in prestigious journals, focusing on areas like sustainability, health communication, work-integrated learning, and empowerment in cyberspace. Recently, he has been dedicated to supporting the development of Vietnam's music industry through the Vietnam Digital Music Landscape 2024-2025 report, aiming to promote sustainable development and explore potential opportunities for the industry.
Sok Visal
Founder & CEO
Sok Visal is a French-Cambodian creative with over 20 years of experience in the music and film industries. He is the founder of KlapYaHandz, Cambodia's first hip-hop label, which revitalized the local music scene by blending traditional and modern elements. Visal is also the founder of 802 Films Production and the director of notable films such as In the Life of Music, which represented Cambodia at the 92nd Academy Awards, and Karmalink, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival.
With his ability to merge traditional and contemporary influences, Sok Visal has had a significant impact on the creative arts scene in Southeast Asia. He believes in innovation and cultural collaboration, living by the motto: "You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete" (Buckminster Fuller).
Tào Minh Hùng
Representative in Vietnam
With over 10 years of experience in intellectual property and copyright, he has made significant contributions in consulting, research, and teaching. Joining IFPI in August 2023, he began advocating for policies to support the development of the recording industry. He hopes to share updated information with the music community in Vietnam about the global, regional, and domestic recorded music markets, while also introducing IFPI's activities in Vietnam, contributing to the growth of the recording industry.
Trần Thăng Long
Head of Domestic A&R and Marketing
With over 21 years of experience in the entertainment industry, from the early days at Hoa Học Trò (2003-2008) to founding and running Quad Entertainment (2008-2020), a company specializing in MV production and artist management, this founder has made significant contributions to shaping and developing Vietnam's entertainment industry. He then continued to engage in major projects like Kenh14.vn and Hot14.vn (2013-2015 & 2019-2021), before joining Universal Music Vietnam in 2021. He is always eager to contribute to the growth and development of the Vietnamese entertainment industry and believes that the participants of VMW 2024 are the future of the local entertainment sector.
TS. Nguyễn Thị Thu Hà
Director of the Center for the Development of Contemporary Culture and Arts Industry
Dr. Nguyễn Thị Thu Hà is an expert in research and policy development in the fields of culture, arts, and the creative industry in Vietnam. With over a decade of contributions, she has been a key member in major projects such as Vietnam's cultural industry development strategy, cultural initiatives of the EU/UNESCO, and intellectual property rights programs. She is also a regional expert for UNESCO, participating in numerous international projects, and serves as a member of the Advisory Board for the Vietnam Design and Creativity Festival, Vietnam Design Week, and Vietnam Music Week. Dr. Hà hopes that VMW 2024 will be an opportunity for young generations in Vietnam's music industry to enhance their knowledge, skills, and confidence in developing their careers.
Wenona Lok
Promoter
Wenona Lok is an event organizer and talent buyer at Live Nation Australia and New Zealand, specializing in Asian pop music content and talent. With extensive knowledge of the Asian touring market, she plays a key role in bringing Asian pop artists to the region, organizing successful tours for artists like TWICE, ITZY, Mayday, and Phum Viphurit. Wenona is also the founder of Imagikai, a company that connects Asian talent with audiences in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. She is a contributing editor to Live Nation's Future Sound (Asia Pop) report and is passionate about expanding cultural exchanges through music. Her motto is: "Burn your nice candles."
